1. Definitions

• We / Us / Our: Wela Atelier, 47 Nimmanhaemin Road, Suthep, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
• You / Client: Any individual who uses this website or brings a timepiece for service.
• Service: Any watch repair, servicing, or fitting work carried out by Wela Atelier.
• Piece / Watch: The timepiece submitted for service.
• Agreement: These terms and any written or verbal service agreement between us.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or submitting a piece for service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and are the owner of the piece (or are authorised to submit it for servicing on behalf of the owner).

3. Service Description

Wela Atelier provides watch repair and maintenance services from our Chiang Mai studio. Services offered include quartz battery care, bracelet and strap fitting, and complete mechanical overhauls. We accept pieces in person at the workshop and by prior arrangement only.

Services are available Monday through Saturday, 10:00–18:00 (ICT). We do not offer postal servicing as a standard arrangement; exceptions may be discussed individually.

4. Service Agreement and Scope

No work will begin on a piece until the scope and cost have been communicated to you and you have provided approval — verbally in person, by telephone, or in writing by email. The agreed scope constitutes the service contract.

If findings during servicing necessitate additional work or parts, we will contact you before proceeding. If you do not approve the additional scope, we will reassemble the piece to the best practicable state and return it.

5. Payment

Currency and pricing

All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿). Published service prices are fixed and inclusive of standard labour and consumables (lubricants, cleaning solution, standard gaskets). Parts required beyond these — replacement springs, specific cells, crystals, and similar — are priced separately and communicated for approval.

Payment methods

Payment is due on collection of the piece. We accept cash (Thai Baht), bank transfer (PromptPay), and major debit or credit cards.

Deposits

For complete overhauls, a deposit of 30% may be requested at intake to cover parts procurement. This will be discussed and agreed at the time of submission.

Refunds

If a service cannot be completed due to a finding beyond our scope, and you elect not to proceed, no charge is made for the assessment. If parts have been ordered at your approval and you subsequently withdraw the service, the cost of those parts may be retained from any deposit paid.

6. Collection and Uncollected Pieces

You will be notified when your piece is ready for collection. We ask that pieces be collected within 30 days of notification. Pieces not collected after 60 days may, at our discretion, be subject to storage charges of ฿100 per day. After 180 days we reserve the right to treat the piece as abandoned, subject to applicable Thai law.

7. Liability and Disclaimers

We take every reasonable precaution with pieces in our care. However, vintage or heavily worn movements may present risks during servicing that cannot be fully anticipated. In such cases, findings will be communicated to you before work continues.

Our liability in connection with any service is limited to the value of the service fee paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for: loss of use of the watch during servicing; pre-existing faults not caused by our work; or indirect or consequential loss of any kind.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — text, images, design, and structure — is the property of Wela Atelier. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Personal data collected in connection with a service enquiry or booking is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute will first be addressed through direct communication. If unresolved, the parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.

11. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: These terms, together with any written service agreement, constitute the full agreement between us.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: These terms may not be assigned by you without our written consent.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website or submission of a piece for service after such changes constitutes acceptance.
